Guest Speaker Bill Popp

Speaker’s Main Points:

Coach Popp began his professional career as a volunteer coach at Oglethorpe in 1992. That then led him into an internship with Oglethorpe, and when they needed a new head coach, they hired Popp at the age of 23. Coach Popp spent 10 years as the Oglethorpe head baseball coach, and then was hired by Reinhardt in 2003, and that year was also asked to step into the role of Athletic Director. Up until this year, Coach Popp served as the Head baseball coach and Athletic Director for Reinhardt, now with the coming of football in the future, Popp has since resigned from his position as head baseball coach. Coach Popp never got his master’s degree, even though he strongly encourages others to do so.
